Ricardo Jasso is a bilingual attorney based in New Mexico, dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation in cases involving oilfield injuries, wrongful deaths, trucking accidents, and criminal defense. Born and raised in the Panhandle of Texas, Ricardo discovered his passion for law at the age of 14. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M University and began his career working at an attorney’s office.
However, he soon received a call from the oil industry and took an offshore position, initially intending to work for just one year to save for law school. That one year turned into seven, during which he gained extensive experience working in the Gulf of Mexico and traveling globally to places like Italy, Singapore, and China. After transitioning to inland work in the fracking industry across South Texas and the Permian Basin, a serious injury and the tragic loss of a colleague in an accident motivated Ricardo to pursue his long-held dream of becoming an attorney.
In 2014, he was accepted into Oklahoma City School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in May 2017. Ricardo passed the New Mexico bar exam and began practicing in Hobbs, NM, in 2019. Following the challenges posed by the COVID_19 pandemic, he temporarily relocated his office to Amarillo, Texas, before returning to Hobbs in 2021 to open Jasso & Jasso Law Firm with his brother Frank Jasso. With a unique blend of legal expertise and firsthand experience in the oil industry, Ricardo Jasso is committed to advocating for his clients and ensuring they receive the justice they deserve.
